These Terms of Service govern your use of services from Colorado Dependable Locksmith ("CDL," "we," "us") and your interactions with our website coloradodependablelocksmith.com. By calling us, scheduling a service, or using our website, you agree to these terms.

Service Pricing

We provide a price RANGE before dispatching any service call. The price quoted at the time of dispatch is binding within the stated range, except where:

  • The actual scope of work differs from what was described over the phone (e.g., you said "single deadbolt rekey" but the lock turns out to be a high-security cylinder requiring specialty parts)
  • Hardware costs change due to manufacturer pricing (we will quote the new range before proceeding)
  • Distance surcharges apply (Castle Rock, Parker, north metro — quoted upfront)
  • After-hours service is provided (10pm-7am) — surcharge $25-$45 disclosed at dispatch

We do not perform any work without first quoting the final price. If our on-site assessment changes the scope, we stop, re-quote, and proceed only with your approval.

Ownership Verification

For all lock services, we verify legal authority to authorize the work:

  • Residential — state-issued ID matching the service address; or, for non-occupant property owners, deed copy or property tax statement
  • Vehicle — state ID + vehicle registration matching the customer name; or signed authorization from the registered owner
  • Commercial — business owner ID or signed work order from authorized property representative
  • Rental — lease showing current tenant name + ID, OR landlord/property manager authorization

This is industry best practice and protects both customer and locksmith. If you cannot provide acceptable documentation, we cannot perform service.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due at completion of service unless arranged otherwise in advance
  • Accepted payment: cash, all major credit cards (Visa/MC/Amex/Discover), Venmo, Zelle
  • Net-30 invoicing available for approved commercial accounts and HOA/property management firms
  • For commercial accounts, payment is due within 30 days of invoice; 1.5% monthly late fee applies after 60 days

We are not liable for consequential damages, lost time, or third-party costs. Customers with commercial losses exceeding our service fee should maintain their own commercial insurance for full coverage.
